This also doesn't look like winning: GOP approval at lowest ever (Gallup)

Democrats at -6 net (43-49) Republicans at -34 net (28-62)

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/gallup-gop-favorability-plunges-to-record-low

Only 28 percent of Americans have a favorable opinion of the Republican Party, according to findings from Gallup released Wednesday.

That number represents a nadir for the GOP since Gallup began asking the question in 1992 and a 10-point drop from a month ago. Sixty-two percent said they have an unfavorable opinion of the Republican Party.

28% of those polled actually have a favorable opinion of the Republicans.

I'm saddened, but not entirely surprised at the Dem's low approval of only 43%. The lack of surprise comes from the constant lies spread by the right wing and even the mainstream media, claiming "both sides are at fault" over the shut down and other total bs.

important to them, with the Dems giving them incremental little wins. They have much of the Rand budget in place, and even if they give on the debt thing, I fear whatever will come shambling out of any new "negotiations". When we let them set the demands, we have nowhere to go but down their list.

the rank and file GOP sheeple will not be needed for contributions, and the political ads and spin will be remarkable. IMO, etc.

Oh wait.....

The surprising thing about the 2012 election is it turns out money can't actually buy an election.

12. Look at that dip in 1999. I bet that was attributable to the impeachment charade.

When are Republicans going to realize that cheap political stunts don't go over well with the public?

The bottom line is they are beholden to their corporate masters, and must ultimately do what they say.

Which has been known to inflate Republican popularity by 5-10 points, I'd say their actual approval is around 22% to 25%.
