I'm sure you have the votes in the House.....

I'll be curious what you will use include in your Articles of Impeachment.....
(1) BO is Black and not White
(2) BO was born in Kenya and not Hawaii
(3) BO isn't a Republican and doesn't support our neo-Nazi and non-christian beliefs in "me, me, me"

But this would be even better for the Democrats. The Senate would laugh you out of town and the American people would say...hmmmm...they spent $65M trying to repeal Obamacare even though they knew the Senate would never pass it and the President would issue a veto with no hope of an override and now spending what $50M for the charade of bringing charges?

It would deliver the House to the Democrats in 2014 and an increase in Democratic majority in the Senate - maybe enough for Harry Reid to go nuclear on the filibuster rule.

Please Michelle, Please, Please, Please make my wishes come true.

...she's facing ethic charges in the House (a big joke) and the FEC (another joke) but the FBI is also involved (not such a big joke) and it's reported that's why she's not running for re-election...a good chance she could be under indictment by then. Here's the latest about her former campaign manager who also is in hot water:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/02/kent-sorenson-michele-bachmann_n_4033446.html

His resignation came after attorney Mark Weinhardt said in a report released earlier in the day that it was "manifestly clear" Sorenson negotiated payments in 2011 that eventually reached $7,500 monthly in exchange for his work as Bachmann's Iowa campaign chair. The money flowed from Bachmann's political action committee, MichelePAC, and her presidential campaign to a Colorado consulting firm, which in turn paid Sorenson's Iowa-based firm, Weinhardt wrote in the report filed with the Iowa Senate.

Sorenson's compensation from MichelePAC is a violation of a Senate rule that bars senators from being paid by political action committees, Weinhardt wrote. Senators will have to decide whether the payments from her presidential campaign also violate the rule since it is unclear, he wrote.

Sorenson knew that accepting the compensation was improper, and later made false statements when he denied that he had taken money tied to Bachmann entities, Weinhardt wrote. Those statements might amount to misconduct in office, a felony that would also be a violation of the ethics rules, the investigator added.

Weinhardt was appointed to investigate an ethics complaint filed against Sorenson by a former Bachmann aide. Weinhardt's report went to the Senate Ethics Committee, which is expected to meet to consider the report and what to do about it.

The fact the corporate media pays attention to this crook and lame duck shows how much they're looking to create divisions not report accurately about what's happening...

There's no doubt in my mind the votes to impeach Obama are there.

They'd love to do it - for any reason or no reason - but they don't have the Senate votes to convict.

Actually, impeaching Obama over nonsense (and we all know that if it happens, it will be over complete nonsense) might help the Democrats, as the barely interested middle would probably think "there go the Republicans again, impeaching yet another Democrat just because they can."

18. Also...

Also, whatever one thinks of Obama, his dignity hasn't yet been totally stripped away. Clinton was hurt by the fact that all the salacious details of his acts were made public and by having publicly made a truly stupid half-truth about his personal relations. That partially self-made indignity made defending him trickier, even though most of the public understood his impeachment was a transparently political farce.

If Obama IS impeached, it would probably be over nonsense of a non-sexual nature and there would be real resentment among even many non-Democrats, not to mention the political fallout from the barely-interested middle recognizing that today's GOP has serious problems accepting any Democratic president as legitimate.

Wed Oct 9, 2013, 06:53 PM
Oct 2013

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

The GOP are shutting the government down and the next step in their bad of tricks is impeachment. If the GOP fails to get the Affordable Care Act repealed, they will vote to impeach President Obama at some point. The GOP shutdown and impeachment of President Obama hurt the GOP in the 1990s but there they at least separated these acts into separate election cycles. Here we may see the GOP try both stunts before the 2014 election

Wed Oct 9, 2013, 07:07 PM
Oct 2013

Top Ten Reasons For the Impeachment of Barack Obama...

(Add your own!)

10) A ghost writer crafted his autobiography, a prosecutable offense. Proof? No Harvard Law Review editor has the brains to narrate his own life.

9) Older red-state voters still find him weird and scary. Just why is that? Must be something he did, right?

8) Membership in the Communist Party is a felony, and Democrats are the new Communists.

7) Because we say so. Ha!

6) Because he conspired with Bin Laden. Don't believe the liberal media hype. They're still beer buddies.

5) When Michelle Obama spoke at the Oscars, it violated laws against politicians not named Reagan having Hollywood ties.

4) Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi. Ben-Gha-Zee! If you say it often enough, something illegal must have gone down.

3) Because unlike Texas, Chicago is the most corrupt part of America.

2) Because the IRS did its job.

And at number one...

1) Because we say so! Take that, hippies!

Given that her Iowa campaign honcho just got busted for accepting bribes (and is rumored to be turning state's evidence), I'm expecting either a grand jury or an indictment in the near future.

I notice that her babble gets louder and more incoherent when she's under threat.
