Well, I got through to my current insurance company about their ACA coverage...

...

It's going to cost me just a little more out of pocket for much better coverage, including all of the things that aren't covered now, prescriptions, labs, office visits, outpatient mental health. Not sure about durable medical equipment or physical therapy, would be nice, both are NOT covered currently. A much lower deductible, and a co-pay out of pocket limit not much higher than I have now.

So, I am still going to shop around all of the plans offered in my state, but at this point, I'm a happy boy. If I can do better with a company that my doctors take, I'll change. If not, I know what I'll get and I'm pretty comfortable with it.

Thank you, Mr. President. Change we can believe in? Yes, we can!

Thank you. I was hoping it would be a good thing. Denninmi Oct 2013 #2
I think the closer you are to mid age range the more likely there is less of a change. dkf Oct 2013 #3

I realize, each person's mileage may vary. Maybe I'm just lucky, I dunno. I've got 2 months to pick a plan, still a lot of research ahead.

Basically the range of premiums has contracted so people who paid a lot will find things more managable while people who paid little (or nothing) will pay more. That's the pure premium. Then you add the subsidies.
