'Republicans wouldn't be doing us any favors . . . fools'

tweeted by, Senator Harry Reid ‏@SenatorReid 16h

Republicans are not doing us a FAVOR by opening the government and raising the debt ceiling. They would be doing their JOBS.

Obamacare is no longer Republicans' #1 issue. Their #1 issue is to divert attention from the fools they’ve made of themselves on Obamacare.

From the angle of that photo, Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell could pass for brothers, but those tweets prove that they are as different as night and day, ideologically speaking.

I am fully aware of Mitch McConnell's turtle-osity, but it's not quite so obvious in that specific shot. Anyway, I was alluding to other superficial similarities, such as their suits, haircuts, eyeglasses, etc. - and that one point of my post - superficial similarities. It's my take on the old saw about judging a book by its cover. Taking that one step further, I would say that a cursory glance at Harry Reid would reveal some old, rich dude with a milquetoast voice and demeanor not usually associated with a fighter - and that's a mistake his opponents frequently make.

My mother calls Reid "the undertaker" in reference to his demeanor (although she knows he was a boxer). I consider that term to also have a double meaning for his role in his calculated end games against Turtle...
