The Tea Party Mindset Summed Up Perfectly...

By blogger/commenter Davis X. Machina, as spotted on Reddit:

“The salient fact of American politics is that there are fifty to seventy million voters each of who will volunteer to live, with his family, in a cardboard box under an overpass, and cook sparrows on an old curtain rod, if someone would only guarantee that the black, gay, Hispanic, liberal, whatever, in the next box over doesn’t even have a curtain rod, or a sparrow to put on it.”

They'll foam over the mouth at a few percent of people doing EBT card fraud but defend wall Street corruption as "that's just the way capitalism works". I hear them personally do this many a time.

Check out this propaganda and check out the comments:

is that the Tea Party is like the trucker protest and all those other sham "protests" that Faux has tried to gin up. There is nothing like 70 million Tea Party people. And a majority of them are happy to take Medicare, Social Security and/or food stamps.

But unfortunately there do seem to be something like 70 million people who are so ignorant, racist, scared,or just plain stupid that they will vote 180 degrees against their own interests every time.

And this is 100 percent how they all think. One of them barely has a pot to piss in, but he blames it on the "wetback" who "took" his shitty job as a prison guard.

at how we regulate these few entities that control what the majority of Americans see and hear. They have become propaganda machines for the Plutocrats and are how they manipulate the less educated, and even those who should already know better. When Fox News can win an appeal that now says it is ok for them to lie, so they and other Networks do, Houston, we have a problem!

6. It's the classic difference between a liberal and a conservative

A Liberal fears that someone, somewhere is not getting what they need.

A Conservative fears that someone, somewhere is getting something they don't deserve.

They have no sense of shame or guilt. They have no empathy. They have no sense of community. It is all about "me, myself & I".
Ironically they are completely oppositional to Jesus's rule of love: "Do unto others as You would have them do to You" or "Love Your neighbor as Yourself."

Their deserving are mostly deserving because they inherited huge wealth.

...I call bullshit on my conservative - or more accurately, Wingnut - friends and prove to them that the thing they're saying, have emailed or posted on Facebook, is a complete lie, their response is, simply, 'I don't care if it's true or not, it's the thought that counts.'

What the hell can you do with these people?

Stupid being the only requirement to join the Tea Party. Smart people need not apply as they are to hard to turn into bigots and racists.
