"Dixiecrats did it, too" false equivalence

Last edited Sun Oct 13, 2013, 12:54 PM - Edit history (1)

I heard someone on Morning Jerk last week using the Dixiecrat example to show that Democrats did it too (governing by obstruction). He went on and on about how they blocked social legislation during the 50's and 60's.

Well, guess what. Take a blind guess where the Dixiecrats are now, and where they came from. They are the same hatefilled asswipes flipping political parties since the end of the Civil War. And now, they wear elephants and tea bags on their hats.

Don't let conservatives rewrite history. And for pity sake, don't let them sell you their snake oil.

retired. You had some like Zell Miller, Maddox, Wallace, etc., that remained Democrats (in name only) but were as conservative and hateful as any of today's Republicans.
