The house has to agree to whatever the Senate agrees to. Is there any understanding that the house will put the Senate agreement to a house vote?

1. Because the house leadership is not Tea Party. They are Corporate Republicans.

They do not want a default (their favorite bankers would be mad). If Senate Republicans can send them a bill (preferably at the last minute) that was voted by a substantial number of GOPers in the Senate, they will likely put it on the floor, even if they do not push their members to vote for it.

However, if they cannot hide behind the Senate, it will be harder for them to do the right thing.
