Madison & I made a grandma and granddaughters day today

As I mentioned in the Twilight Zone Post (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023837263 reply 25) this morning, I took Madison to a free showing of "Monsters vs Aliens" thanks to Marcus Theaters. At the ticket counter in front of us was a grandma in her 70's that didn't understand the 3-D concept. Her granddaughter was 4 or 5. She was getting ready to pay for the tickets. When I realized she was seeing the same film, I asked the ticket girl if it was to late to cancel the sale? I started waving my ticket and she knew what i was going to do. She said no problem. It was just Madison and I and the ticket was good for 4 people. Grandma didn't understand and and asked do I pay him? The girl said no you have been treated. The grandma smiled and said "Erin we will now have the money for something at the concession stand". You should have seen the smiles! It didn't cost me anything but meant a lot to the two of them. We bumped into them on the way out and got another "thank you so much" from both of them.

Madison didn't remember the movie and we had a great time. Marta and I took her to it when it first came out in the theater. Two weeks ago today I took Madison to "Kung Fu Panda 2" in 3-D also free thanks to Marcus Theaters.

It is one of the great joys of life on both sides of the coin when that can happen. Thank you for being willing!
