(19,053 posts)My parents referred to themselves as devout Catholics and you never would have heard then pushing their faith on others or making a spectacle of their spiritual views by praying in public.
It is those that refer to themselves as "strict" christians who make spectacles of their faith and try to impose their beliefs on others.
Of course this is a generalization, but i have found this to be fairly universal.
