The right’s Confederate flag conspiracy theories

It's settled. D.E.N.I.A.L. is a river that runs through right wingers' heads ...

... the response among right-wing tweeters was outrage, too — but not at the flag or the man who brought it with him. Rather, right-wing animus settled on the supposedly liberal media, conspiring to make the protestors look bad. Indeed, in the right’s telling, the conspiracy went deeper than just media bias: the flag-bearer ( ... ) was likely a secret liberal, trying to make conservatives look bad.

~snip~

So there you have it: the presence of the Confederate flag at a right-wing rally is the devious handiwork of nefarious liberals — and not that big a deal, anyway!

I've been sneaking into NRA members' garages late at night, at risk to my own life and health, and putting confederate flag stickers on their trucks' bumpers! Right next to the gun rack.

Nah. Don't believe it!

It got bad press..... and they're trying to distance themselves from that.

They are nothing but posers, carnival barkers and base fools. The confederate flag and "Put a White back in the White House" shirts show who they are in an exacting accuracy. No wonder that more and more Americans despise them.

8. That's another fracture point, the myth of the "liberal media"

The vast majority of the media is in fact corporate centric but the Republicans would attack it as "liberal" to intimidate the media (as if they had to) and to make excuse to low information Americans.

Thanks for the thread, Emit.
