but I'm not weeping about this bullshit, I'm calling it what it is.

They are tyrannical, plus the Tyrannosaurus is the perfect symbol for them.

So, let's give them a new moniker too, The Tyrannos.
Kinda like the Sopranos, except a real mafia.

"Tea-hadists" come from all over the country, and one of their "nerve centers" is based in California.

There are plenty of people in the South who don't like this shit. And there is already enough South-bashing in these forums.

California has 53 Representatives in the House and of those 1 is part of the Tea Party Caucus. One.
On the other hand, Bachmann is Chair and she's from way up North and Arkansas has zero Tea Caucus members.

18. the South didn't have public education
Tue Oct 15, 2013, 10:09 AM

as compared to the north east nor the mid northern central states which had it early in the 19th century. Public education didn't really happen in the south until after the civil war.

Low information voters and soldiers supplied the aristocratic officers corp with the willing ignorant soldiers they needed to fight their war. Reading and writing was uncommon for the common southern soldier as compared to the north.

The southern newspapers during the war gave 'fox' like reports that even the southern troops wrote home and complained to say they didn't report the news as they witnessed at battles compared to north

Don't forget that the north had its confederate backers too but most because they had interest in the slave economy.

The neo confederate reference is not all that wrong because some of their
beliefs systems are the same.

There was a parody movie that came out in the 2000s that showed what would happened today if the south won the war and what the nation would be like., so others are making the same inference too, to the comparison to tea baggers.

Both the Confederacy and the Tea Party were/are trying to undermine the federal government. Both were/are racist.

Me thinks thou doth protest too much.

A confederation is a group that has united and works together, which is exactly the opposite of what the current version of the Republican Party does.
