Lorax being used to sell Mazda SUVs to school children- assisted by the NEA

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/virginia-schools-insider/post/the-lorax-helps-market-mazda-suvs-to-elementary-school-children-nationwide/2012/02/28/gIQAQhRMiR_blog.html?tid=sm_twitter_washingtonpost

This is disgraceful. The NEA and Mazda should be ashamed, not to mention the local school districts permitting this.

One kid knows better and gets it right.....

Some reached out to touch the cars. A few kneeled to have their photographs taken. Others erupted into a spontaneous chant. “Lorax car, Lorax car, Lorax car!” they said.

One of their classmates quietly objected.

“The Lorax doesn’t drive a car,” he said.

Ultimately the responsibility for what goes on at school is in the hands of the educators - they can and should say no to marketing anything to school children.

This is an abomination, a complete 180 degrees from the whole point of "The Lorax"

for a brilliant writer of children's books.

I don't understand why you consider him to be a fraud.
