if so, since I'm hearing ultra low turnout and interest, and this is a winner take all state with 46 delegates....a Ron Paul win there would be a punch to the stomach for the Romney campaign if Democrats were to do a bit of voting.

(40,416 posts)I think we all agree that Ron Paul is going to stick with it to the end. He already has this history. So maybe he's not the guy you'd want to vote for if your intention was to prolong the Repug nomination agony. I'd suggest InSanitorium or the Newt as a better strategic choice, whichever is polling higher.
I will again remind folks who are against "crossing over" to consider the fact that Dems didn't make the rules in these primaries. The Repugs did this to themselves. If we exploit the huge, cavernous hole that they created themselves, so much the worse for them.
The important thing to do at this late stage is to organize. Think strategically. And if there's an open Repug primary in your state, by all means go to the polls and cast your vote for the candidate which will maximize the Repug's agony.
After all, the Repugs have done much, much worse to us Dems. We'll be merely exploiting the hole in the system Which they themselves put there.
They made their bed, let them now lie in it.

(40,416 posts)My advice is to vote Paul.
Anything to keep the circular firing squad going.

(33,497 posts)even in a low turnout primary in VA. I think we should just let them choose their nominee. We tried in Michigan and it didn't do any good.
Besides Paul is nothing but a stalking horse for Mittens anyway. He'll just give him any delegates he has at the convention.

(22,308 posts)because the vote was so close that the delegates should have been split evenly. Then the Michigan (R)s take a vote and give the 2 at large delegates to Rmoney. Then Santorum lashes out at him and has a new line of attack.
I am glad I voted for Santorum and I think it did do some good.
But as far as VA goes, it is winner take all and Rmoney is going to run away with it.

(45,488 posts)Ron Paul won't gain enough to make a difference. Plus, voting in the repuke primary will put you on their mailing list. You'll be inundated with puke mailings, puke phone calls, and pukes knocking on your door.
Let them have a historic low turnout.
