I know the temptation is great, but please don't tune into Rush today

There are and will be plenty of folks to monitor the ass-pickles show today. We shouldn't make this his "highest rated" show.

Kind of sends the wrong message doesn't it? He needs to be shunned, even though the temptation to hear his quivering and groveling will be great.

enough but I am curious to see what he does. I suspect that it won't be any fun for him anymore if he has to watch his words and keep an eye on his sponsors. I think he might "retire" saying that his 1st Amendment rights have been violated.

It's not like there's a Nielsen box attached to anyone's radio, after all, and it'd be one helluva undertaking to call individuals to ask whether they had listened. If that *did* occur, one could just say 'hell, NO, I didn't tune in to hear what that drug-addled pedophile had to say!'

On edit: I haven't listened to that asshole forever, and if I hear that bilious toad's voice whatsoever, it's completely by accident. If others want to keep tabs on him, however, it's their business, and it's impossible for UnclearChannel to get anything other than a rough-ass estimate of listener numbers anyway.

It's not TV, Arbitron doesn't have such a statistic. Individual markets might have such a distinction, but you probably won't hear much about it. And the truth is, if you aren't already involved in Arbitron, no one will no if you do tune it.

...but I can tell you this: there won't be any "quivering and groveling"...he will double, triple and quadruple down on his statements....

In his so-called apology he implied that Sandra Fluke's testimony was an "absurdity" to which he responded with another "absurdity". There was NOTHING absurd in her testimony. Her testimony wasn't about sex. It wasn't even about her. It was about denying drugs used for both birth control and hormonal control not being covered in the school's policy.

Rush didn't apologize for lying about her testimony

He didn't apologize for mocking a legitimate concern for Ms Fluke's friend or thousands (perhaps even hundreds of thousands) of woman like her to take birth control medication for medical purposes.

He didn't apologize for saying that Fluke wanted "us to pay for her sex". Or that she was "...having so much sex she couldn't afford it anymore."

He'll double down on the mock, pseudo-morality game of blaming women for having sex...because that's what the rest of the knuckle-dragging ass-holes WANT him to say.

(can you tell I'm pissed?)
