If the GOP had won the 800,000 employees would have been laid off anyway. The GOP budget is about shutting down government. So if we cave we get what they plan anyway if they were the majority.

They want to eliminate most federal departments and give the work to the states. They want to go back to the Articles Of Confederation. We know how well that idea worked.
