On a lighter note: No one wants to star in "50 Shades of Grey"

First Charlie Hunnam drops out amidst rumors that he feared it would be bad for his career, now there are rumors that the lead actress, Dakota Johnson is having second thoughts. Filming is scheduled to start Nov 1.

I have a serious hate for that book. I tried reading it and didn't even make it 40 pages in. It's horribly written. It's about as sexy as a moldy carrot.

I don't think I've ever heard of a movie with such problems finding actors to star in it.

does seem like any serious actor would not want anything to do with this movie. I'm sure it will bring millions to the box office but I would imagine at some price for a career.

It's a risky role, yes, but I don't think they'll have a problem finding an actor for it.

You got further than I did when I tried reading the book.

5. They are probably looking at known actors...

They should look at unknowns...

The book is so notorious that it will already draw an audience whether it's a known actor or not. Of course, if it's a known actor it will draw more of an audience.

I think if they want the risk of the movie, they should take an equal risk with an unknown actor.

They've got a script and the money for the movie. They'll find the right actor.

completed my disdain for the book, the writer and quite frankly its "fans".

I can't imagine anyone wanting to star in a movie of that dreck.

The director wants her husband to have the role. This is one of the worst indications of a director's value, the quickness to nepotistic arrogance.
This movie is going to stink.
