I was thinking this was all Kabuki theater...you know, crisis until the last second, followed by Dems giving away a tiny piece of the New Deal, followed by another crisis in 60 or 90 days, rinse and repeat. Now I'm not sure. I'm stressed if it all crashes, and stressed if it doesn't and the Dems give up some more. I'm in a lose/lose right now.

And the freeways on the north side have a different feel to them than other areas. Stop-and-go traffic on the W Loop isn't the same as it is on 45 N. I'm sure you know the hazardous areas better than I, too. I deal with one of the Houston Press' "favorite" interchanges every morning (merging from S Post Oak to 610 S.) So much "fun" when people refuse to let you in, and your window of available pavement is ending.

I hope things are mostly stress-free up on the north side!
