4. To paraphrase her,

What he was saying was soooooooo inappropriate, that the GOP didn't want to shut down the govt., etc. He told her it was not inappropriate, that they'd decided Aug 6 to shut down, then he read a quote that she'd made re: that policy. It was EPIC journalism at its' best!

She kept talking over him, but he wouldn't let her try to lie her way out of it like she usually does. She was NOT a happy camper! They were in the middle of it when he had to cut to Nancy Pelosi. I'm guessing Blackburn is kissing Nancy's ring right now for saving her from her lying skanky self.

Thomas Roberts! Our newest bright star in the truth-tellers heaven! DAYUM! Where's he been all our lives?

I just called marsha blackburn's office, declared Thomas Roberts is a HERO, and demanded to know why she couldn't answer the question - and why she DOES INDEED want to shut the government down and DOES INDEED hate Obama and the ACA more than she loves our country. And I said there's a majority of us out here who want her and her little pals to STOP IT. STOP THE HOSTAGE HOLD. JUST STOP IT. And I added - "Do what ann romney said to do, for once: 'STOP IT. Just STOP IT.'"

If you do likewise - with any of these petty little gasbags, BE SURE to use the language "hostage hold," "extortion," and so forth. Including "there are more of US than there are of you!" HAMMER IT HOME. This is what their side needs to hear again and again and again.

12. Thanks! I never could stand Blackburn. MSNBC seems to have her on quite a bit.

Yes, the Republicans shut down the Government no matter how much she tries to spin this.

Glad you're here! Well, they could stop digging. Get with the program, do their jobs, abandon their hostage hold, and start acting like Americans rather than Somali pirates on the high seas!

Thomas Roberts' show is probably #1 IMO. He can remain neutral, yet still sometimes grill the Republicans who appear on his show. Regarding the others, Andrea Mitchell and Chris Jansing are OK, while Chuck Todd has become a farce who basically admitted that he refused to do his job as a journalist.

I once felt there was a modicum of fairness from him, never a big fan though. But as time has gone by I've seen his "atty-tude" shine through. I've wondered if it stemmed from his exposure on Morning Joe, but regardless a person should be his "own man" and at least try to report facts without seeming partisan. He kisses what he sees beneficial to him!

I'm a Boomer and saw a time when journalism was REALLY the Fourth Estate or pretty close to it. Now, I simply find it so difficult to deal with so many in the media as "personality whores!"

What's more is that when a reporter is actually worth his pay, he/she is either removed or told by their employers to work within certain parameters and DON'T PUSH THE ENVELOPE!

I'm very glad Ed Schultz is back at a decent time, but THEY did try their best to make him inconsequential. Bottom line is we have an electorate who either votes like idiots or opt out altogether. Either way, it's wrong-headed and unless "we the people" can find some way to effectively make our voices heard "we the people" will continue to pay the price!
