"Who will get fucked?"

Apparently, the House GOP was meeting to hammer out the final details of the plan they were getting ready to offer. A pack of Tea Party conservatives, however, went all WHAAARGARBLE because - get this - the plan contained no language that would strip congressional staffers of their gov't-funded health insurance. Because they want to screw staffers making $29K, the deal imploded before Boehner had even opened his gob at that press conference.

I am reminded of the words of Hunter S. Thompson when he described his trepidation about bringing the Hell's Angels to parties in Berkeley with the lefty-intellectual elite. The Angels would not want to hear about social alienation or inequalities, he wrote, and the whole scene would come down "to an intolerable common denominator: who will get fucked?"

That's the Tea Party's operating ethos boiled down to four words: who will get fucked? They failed at fucking over the Affordable Care Act, and have been reduced to fucking over their own goddam staffers because, well, dammit, someone has to get fucked in this thing, or else they'll be humiliated and stuff.

I am thankful for the Tea Party in one respect: they have reminded me once again that I still have the capacity for awe.

It's not in my German dictionary. I tried to determine the meaning by examining the component parts, but it doesn't make sense.

Wait - never mind.

Yeah! That's the appropriate word!

For those of you who would like a translation, it means "A face badly in need of a fist."

However, the fact that the 'sole remaining superpower' would pull this kind of political stunt when the fate of the world economy depends on them being sane....wow. Just wow. Talk about lack of personal responsibility, and there you have it.

It could be the beginning of the end of the United States of America and that is exactly what the Globalists want to see. The beginning of Poppy's "New World Order" where the 99% are the slaves world wide and the 1% are the masters.

I mean, their staff are the only ones working. The t-baggers (hell, all repubs) are too busy preening in front of monuments and grifting for campaign dollars to actually write and read bills and such. Not to mention constituent services.

Once again Boner bones his own party. He should have opened up the vote to the whole House. But then 'moderate' repubs would have to go on the record, wouldn't they?

I worked my way backwards for some reason, RockNRolla, Snatch, then Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. I'll say one thing, everyone in those films seems to be having a thoroughly enjoyable time. And Ritchie does music incredibly well.

and thoroughly justified. Most of their staffers are worshippers so I don't feel sorry for the ones who work in their offices but I do feel sorry for the rest of the DC staffers.. I saw how the staffers in the statehouses are and went to school with a number of them. They don't sign up to work for folks not of their political stripe so... reap what you sow on that issue.

But I have to agree with the OP, these are a gang of "high on something" punks. Whether it is "high on their own self-appointed superiority" or something else doesn't matter at this point. They need to see some corrective intervention at this point... without further delay, and I would hope that it has teeth in a legal sense. These folks no longer deserve the benefit of citizenship, they have removed all doubt that they have any interest in the good/well being of the nation.

I think the reason they choose to cut subsidies to staff is that if the dems agree then they can use it in ads during next election.
Blah blah voted to for subsidies for there own staff .

Emotions were high, people were rightly shaken, and more than a few folks said, "We gotta bomb somebody ... I don't care who or if they were involved, just so somebody pays."

Sadly, most of the major media outlet was right there, beating the drums of war while ignoring those trying to get real information as well as those of us who were saying, "What? Just bomb anyone? Wouldn't it be good to have some idea who did this first?"

This is real reptilian complex at work.

Well, ever since Bob Dole threw the Viagra in the GOP's Kool-Aid the fucking in dead earnest has been on the rise. First Bill Clinton got blown and fucked and it's been nothing but mass fuckings ever since. The fucker haven't even kissed or greased We The Fuckees! I'll tell you what the only president(Ben Franklin)who was never president once said, "I say, let's have a revolution!&quot or was that fiery Uncle Sam)

Boner's leaving town in any case. I guess a Golf outing and drinking binge is far more important to "Mister Speaker," than granny's social security check. Forget about Granny paying all that dough into her SS account throughout her lifelong career, of scrubbing floors on her hands and knees. Forget about Pa Paw's veteran's disability checks for that metal plate in his head. The GOP "LEADERSHIP" has more important fish to fry at the country club. Forget little Johnny's cancer drugs. Or little Jane's college savings account, that her disabled veteran dad puts the pennies in every week. Or the pain that all the disabled vets without the money for meds will start going through. Forget everything, but the what's in it for me GOP.

We people need to start fucking back, IMHO.

Whatever he does, he's done. You would think if he had an ounce of compassion and concern for his country he'd end this TODAY, take a vote, and close this terribly undemocratic, harmful, embarrassing, and idiotic phase of our history. He has the power to stop the blackmail, hostage taking and seditious actions. I have lost ALL respect for him long ago. I have no pity whatsoever, he is totally incompetent.

The GOP will screw over their OWN VOTERS. Now that takes some nerve.

I want to shake poor Republicans and just ask them, "What in the hell do you think you are going to get from these people?"
