The House Republicans hasn't even learned a damn thing.

It's time to force the Tea Party assholes out of the House. Time to find their skeletons and shake them out.

but think about it for a second -- their demands were NEVER cohesive.

There was no particular aspect of the ACA they wanted to attack and no good explanation as to the "harm" that that particular aspect caused.

If they were really opposed any one thing that made any sense, they would have beaten it to death. It's always THIS or THAT or THE OTHER. This birth control thing is a great example.

They seized on something controversial to try and discredit the President and undermine his authority. If the demands don't make sense you have to start thinking that the demands are not really the demands.

The demand that has always been consistent is that the President give up and admit defeat.

I keep hearing that they just want something to show for this lame attempt to punish the president for the ACA. Bullshit. I'm just glad that Holder is investigating congressional put orders for stocks.

Okay, I'm rambling. Gloria Borger is chewing up Wolf Blitzer, & I got distracted.

which, to my mind, equates to control over women that these clowns feel is their right (uh, insane and misogynist). For the life of me, however, I can't understand on any level how this discussion even has a place in the public sector. Their arguments are inherently based on their personal religious beliefs and have zero connection to logic, science or established law. For those of us who utterly reject organized religion (which, by the way, has nothing to do with faith), this is beyond offensive and infuriating to a level that, literally, elevates my blood pressure to dangerous levels. For people who claim to want smaller government, the hypocrisy and hubris that allow them to even raise this topic - in connection with the debt and budget discussions, no less - belies the truth of government invasion into the most personal decision a woman can make: when and whether to have children.

Bottom line for me: when you accept my decision on when and if you may have children, I might listen to your thoughts on my decisions, if I feel like it at any given moment (in other words, never). And for those of you who are not, never were, and never will be biologically able to gestate for nine months (uh, any man, but most especially one who is not, never has been, and never will be in a relationship with me), go the fuck away! I'm certain millions of other women, and not a few men, would readily share this opinion.

I know I'm, generally, preaching to the choir here, but sometimes I just have to let the steam off, or I'll explode!
