I honestly don't believe the dems and our President are being portrayed justly in the media.
I am in Chicago where things usually lean dem and I keep hearing from people "both sides are to blame."
Dems also have high unfavorables now. They just aren't quite as pronounced as the repubs.
I'm pretty bummed that our message doesn't seem to be getting out there.

(32,062 posts)Republicans are getting clobbered right now because Obama's team is also good at marketing. The only thing the repugs can do is try to say "both sides do it". It's all they've got.
And, no, I do not think they are winning - Gallup is showing people are not falling for their shenanigans.

(10,893 posts)but with regards to the unfavorable ratings, I don't get how both the Republicans and Democrats have high unfavorable ratings, even though both parties have been pursuing different goals. Is it a bunch of Republican respondents who are driving up the unfavorable numbers of the Dems?

(23,545 posts)that are moderate, I'm hearing a lot of "all politicians are terrible". People don't want to analyze what is going on. People want to be spoon fed and it's easier to hate all politicians than figure out what is happening in our country.

(14,554 posts)It's just easier to throw up your hands in disgust and proclaim that they are all the same instead of trying to actually figure out what's going on, what various groups' agendas may be, etc. Who has time for all that?

(13,218 posts)when I first heard the expression "Liberal Press". I corrected the speaker saying, "You mean Right Wing Press don't you?" No, he didn't. He was convinced it was biased for the Left. (PS: reality is biased for the Left.)
