"We really did go too far. We screwed up."

"We won't be the last political party to overplay our hand. It might happen one day on the Democratic side. And if it did, would Republicans, for the good of the country, kind of give a little? We really did go too far. We screwed up. But their response is making things worse, not better."

- Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

You feckless bag of fuck.

In fact it's already happened. When I lived in Columbia, I saw yard signs for a Tea Party candidate, whose name I forget, with the slogan "Because Lindsey's Too Liberal for South Carolina". South Carolina evidently disagreed, which makes me think that the threat to the Republican "reality caucus" from the Tea Party is overblown. If a primary challenge can't succeed in a state that seems inordinately proud of having been the first to secede from the Union in the run-up to the Recent Unpleasantness, where can it succeed?

Glad you're here! AMAZING, isn't it? Just mind-blowingly AMAZING. Wrong person's admitting this, though. I won't be satisfied til I see boner, cruz, mcconnell, cantor, ryan, bachmann, that little twit mike lee (only claim to fame is being ted cruz's shadow, in much the same way as lindsey graham is john mccain's shadow) - any one or any combination of those fiends - come out and admit this.

I just had a thought - if I were a parental figure with any clout here, I'd say - you want it fixed? Okay. Here. Mama fix. You go over there and sit down and zip it. I will handle this.

Government opens IMMEDIATELY.
NO debt ceiling - now or EVER again. You will agree to doing away with it.
NO further sequester.
NO further obstruction in the Senate.
NO further attention paid to the teabaggers. They're a MINORITY. They have no right to swagger around like they own the place. And some of 'em haven't even been here a full year yet!

If I were really ruthless I'd throw in a couple more, but I'll be generous and stop there. This or NOTHING. Then you can go explain to the koch brothers why they're gonna lose so much money in this default and why you just had to screw them, too.

They keep talking about how government should be run like a business, and how "I raised a family, ran a business... so I know how this should be done" so okay then. Here's a microcosm for you, since you like boiling it down that simplistically: I'm a mom. My teenager just crashed our car - in a wanton, deliberate, and "nobody is the boss of me" recklessness. Why then should he/she be entitled to continued driving privileges, OR, assuming we can afford to replace the wreck, to be handed the new set of keys? I'd put it to each of those CONS and baggers - "you raising your kid that way?"

And each time, the hypocrisy just gets a little bit bigger. By the time Ted Cruz runs for President, they will be able to sell video of that skill on the Inter-tubes for extra campaign cash.

and now you want to see a pediatrician about treatment?

No wonder Republicans don't know shit about health care.

NO.
The last party to shut the federal government down was the republicans. And you are doing it again because you can't get your own way. AGAIN

You got into bed with the right wing crazies and you thought everything was going to be OK?
You got the votes that you wanted out of them and you did not think they would turn on you?
Many of them are crazy and you are to scared to do what is right and stand up to them.
Instead you will crash and burn with them.

I would rather stand up and lose my seat then to be associated with their madness.

But that doesn't stop them from greedily wanting all the time.

You mean this turdblossom from SC is spurting again? Let's all remember his vitriol for the trumped up "impeachment" (and I say trumped because it was wholly manufactured by the rupukes) of President Clinton. Gee, I guess you gave a little then, huh? How in hell does a truly messed up sociopath like this get into the US senate? I listen to nothing he spurts as should no one. And oh, Lindsey. You want us to to give a little?.....convince your repuke brethren in the house to call for a CR vote. For ONCE, do SOMETHING for the good of the country. I can't stomach the self-serving hypocrisy of these ass hats!!!!
