The next time you hear someone say the gov should be run like a business

or a household budget, guffaw loudly. Ridicule liberally. The party of business has shown the nation that the only business the understand is racketeerinflg and extortion. They also have demonstrated an abysmal lack of knowledge of what most Americans' household budget looks like. For those who support them but are not millionaires or billionaires, express your amazement at how they could hand the nation's economic future over to thieves and criminals. The Mafia at least has a code of honor, twistted as it is.

For profit businesses only have a loyalty to one party; their shareholders. Not the customers, not the general public, but only those who pay money for a piece of the profits. If we were to make an analogy to government, the shareholders would be political donors.

What amounts to good business doesn't translate to good government. I can't stand that stupid analogy.

That's what I'd like to ask idiots who say that.

What rankles me the most is when they say private enterprise is always more efficient and less bureaucratic than government. Obviously that comes out of the mouths of those who have never worked in a large office.
