Strip of their powers, declare them persona non grata, kicked out of the Capitol, and freeze their assets.
Then have the FBI raid the Heritage Action, FreedomWorks and all Tea Party-related organizations for RICO charges. Also raid the Koch offices and the John Birch Society and all related right-wing organizations and shut down for RICO as well.

The only thing that will work is to force the Republicans to give up and not to try it again.

(16,916 posts)Obama watches as the House leadership and Tea Party Caucus drive the vehicle of state off a financial cliff.
Instead of invoking the 14th Amendment to raise our debt ceiling, Obama accuses House Teapublicans of Ethics Violations for questioning the validity of the debt in violation of the 14th.
Dems take up the call for the House Ethics Committee to investigate the Tea Party.
The Republican Ethics Committee Chair (Michael Conaway of Texas - who was Primaried by the Tea Party in 2010), along with the 5 Dems that sit on the evenly divided committee, finds all Tea Party members derelict in their duties, in violation of their oaths of office, and a threat to our national economic security, and so puts up a floor vote to expel the Tea Party.
90 Republicans and 200 Democrats (a 2/3rds majority) vote to simultaneously expel the Tea Party from the house and pas a CR.
Dems are big heroes, the Republicans get credit for cleaning up the crazy house, and all is well in the world.
Ahh, wishes.....
