Will Congress repeal or revise the debt ceiling law ?

I really don't know. I hope they do, to eliminate these debt ceiling extortion moments.

They will never do it while Republicans control the house. This is something that the Democratic base should be demanding.

If they want to put in a requirement to hold joint Congressional hearings on the debt every year on X date, fine with me. Let's talk about it. This current method is madness to any sane person.

The only way the debt ceiling law will be overturned is if the Democrats take over Congress in a big way or some Administration if not this one takes it to the Supreme Court on the basis it violates the 14th Amendment.

The debt ceiling law has little to no redeeming value and causes much more trouble than its' worth

It's nothing but a political football.

Thanks for the thread, steve.
