Limbaugh today: STILL blaming someone ELSE (this time, "the left") for his abuse:

"I don't expect, and I know you don't either, morality or intellectual honesty from the left," he said. "...This is the mistake I made: in fighting them on this issue last week, I became like them. Against my own instincts, against my own knowledge, against everything I know to be right and wrong, I descended to their level. I feel very badly about that."

SO - the words that came out of Limbaugh's mouth are somehow the fault of "the left"? ReallY?!

"The Left" didn't utter those words. RUSH LIMBAUGH did and only Rush Limbaugh is responsible for them. Not "the left". And not anyone else.

...and an abuser. That's how they operate. Their behavior is always someone else's fault. Sheesh.

If you had become like the left, you would probably have taken your own life out of remorse for your past career. (But there's still time!)

Whether he suffers or not is irrelevant to me. His suffering doesn't fix anything. Him being gone does.

It doesn't help us to try to play the "purity" card, when one of our own, who was even elected to the senate, wrote a book calling the man a big, fat idiot.

Idiot and slut/prostitute are not interchangeable terms. Guess which is worse?

Also, Rush is a public figure who makes his living in the public arena. She was a private citizen who wanted to testify before Congress. Rush's type of attack amounts to intimidation. How dare you speak up? I'll show you what happens. It has a very chilling effect on public discourse.

And, yes I know there are those on the left who have uttered the word slut. However, it was a passing remark -- not a three-day tirade questioning a person's morals or asking her to post sex tapes. When Schultz did call Ingram a slut, he was rightly suspended.

So, try again on finding an equivalent example.

"Not the same at all."
I totally predicted that.

Look, I'm not ever going to defend Rush, or what he said or how he said it.
But yeah, it's the same fucking thing!

Mr. Franken, now Senator Franken wrote a fucking book called "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot."
Chances are he wouldn't be a senator now if he hadn't written that book!
You wanted to know what liberals could possibly have ever done, oh my! that was anywhere near anything like what Rush did. Well there it is!

Don't play the fucking purity card, because we call people bad names too.
All the fucking time.
You do it, I do it, Democratic Underground is practically dedicated to coming with names for these "Conservative Idiots."

So don't give me that "not the same at all" hypocritical bullshit.

Please direct you response to those points specifically, not doubling down on your original argument.

I'm not sure who this "we" is. I think you and I have very little in common.

And I totally predict that you won't prove that the two situations are the same. Perhaps you can add more exclamation points or even all caps to your next post.

Okay.

I guess if he forgets to wash the car and it starts to rust it's her fault too, since it couldn't possibly be that he was to lazy to take a hose to it. The baby didn't feed itself, so it's *her* fault she didn't wake up in time to keep him from strangling it.

"It's not my fault! It's never my fault! "

I thought Rush was all about self responsibility. Never once does he acknowledge his bad decisions
nor accept any kind of accountability. He did not descend to anybody's level but his own, as his past history shows
all too well. Sick, pathetic, cowardly person!

of "entertainment" peeled off.

He needs to grow up take responsibility for his own actions and quit using crutches and scapegoats for his own atrocious behaviour.

Thanks for the thread, ProfessionalLeftist.
