(21,718 posts)This is supposed to be the final vote. If them make amendments, it has to go back to the Senate

(879 posts)This is the vote. The original Tea Party House Bill was HR 2775. The Senate took that bill, stripped all the crap out, and amended it with the current compromise. They then sent it back to the House. Now the House is voting to accept those amendments, and if they do, it goes to the President. The reason the Senate did that is that this sort of legislation must originate in the House:
All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.

(21,718 posts)I saw it popup as a 1, then disappear as well. Either they changed their vote, pushed the wrong button, or the computer temporarily screwed up. Probably just a mistake.

(8,084 posts)not just sad for me for everyone effected this is bullshit. I have been resisting the urge to go throw rocks at the House's Windows.
