So, following their comprehensive ass-whooping, will the Republicans have learned their lesson?

Having reduced the popularity of their party to the lowest of any party, ever, and getting nothing in return, will they be smart enough not to drag us all through the same thing next time around?

"Lone Watie: How did you know which one was goin' to shoot first?
Josie Wales: Well, that one in the center: he had a flap holster and he was in no itchin' hurry. And the one second from the left: he had scared eyes, he wasn't gonna do nothin'. But that one on the far left: he had crazy eyes. Figured him to make the first move.
Lone Watie: How 'bout the one on the right?
Josie Wales: Never paid him no mind; you were there.
Lone Watie: I could have missed."

This won't be the last of them. But their batshit craziness has now been exposed to moderate voters, and they will be marginalized.

Every time they take a licking they choose to double down on crazy. The obstructionism in the Senate will continue - possibly get worse. Except this time the American people finally know who and what they are dealing with and will not tolerate it any longer.

The Tea Party can primary every RINO out there but it will do them no good. Their donations from conventional businesses will dry up this election cycle and the beast will eventually be cash starved. I fully expect big business to abandon the Republicans until they weed out the insanity to more controllable levels.

Within a year and a half. Sooner, if they lose the House.

And I'm not trying to be funny. These pricks are going to want revenge.

We all know this. They will kick it up a notch. As long as the Kochs want crazy, the Kochs get crazy.

They are incapable of learning. It seems, at least on social media, the "base" i.e. tea party are mad and digging in deeper. If they primary those who voted yea, and I think they will, they will run an even crazier group in next Novembers election. Some will loose and we will pick up seats but many will win.

I have said this before but it is still true today, Jesus Christ could run as the Democrat and Adolph Hitler could run as the Republican and my district would put Hitler in office. My Representative already said he was not going to run again, so far only far, far right Republicans are lining up to run in the primary, the current front runner could give Cruz and Bachmann a run for their money in the crazy contest.
