but this is New Jersey, not exactly a bell weather state.

I just don't think this election says anything...the people of NJ voted as they often do (with exceptions certainly).

Of course had the unthinkable happened (ala Massachusetts with Not Brown) it would have been a disaster. So to me this was a no win situation for the Dems...if we win we shoulda, it we lost, we're toast.
