A stenographer for the House apparently lost it Wednesday night as lawmakers passed a government funding and debt limit deal, Roll Call reports. The stenographer began shouting about God and the Freemasons as the vote took place.
"He will not be mocked. He will not be mocked. Don't touch me. He will not be mocked," the stenographer shouted as she was taken away by U.S. Capitol Police. "The greatest deception here is not 'one nation under God.' It never was. Had it been, it would not have been."
She continued, "The Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons. They go against God."
She went on, "You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God, Lord Jesus Christ."

(8,336 posts)Where is the compassion for this poor woman. I am with you, she is on the way to the hospital, and will get the help she needs, but the lasting embarrassment will stay with her for a long time.

(5,105 posts)I've seen no one here laughing at this sick woman. Laughing at the ridiculous bullshit she swallowed? Yes, and for years. Because it is nonsense, and any repig in the house could have shouted out the same bullshit and no one would be surprised. They've stated their hateful "religious" views on the floor, before the press, etc., countless times.
If you choose to believe it, fine. Leave the rest of us out of it. Please stop looking for things to get outraged and "concerned" about.

(13,485 posts)religious extremism in America. This kind sits quietly in passive aggressive mode until the ecstatic trance is broken by reality. Being forced to face denial of her practiced ideology, out comes rage conjured by years of repetitive acts of unwaivering belief.
That, or she's off her meds.

Maybe they realize that they're never going to get the swear words off AMC or the smut off the intertubes. Maybe they finally figured out that no amount of trips to the Creation Museum are going to get public school children taught about how cavemen rode dinosaurs. The gays will continue to get married, and in 2 states they can celebrate their nuptuals by smoking legal weed.
And the Merkin people are just never going to rise up and demand the Barf Cartiprikit from the Kenyan Usurper in the White House.
It's the end of the world....
as we know it.
