This was the worst affect of the past two weeks. Children and seniors going hungry, cancer studies and other scientific research halted, veteran benefits threatened, etc. -- all that paled in comparison to shutting down a freaking memorial that didn't even exist a short time ago. Of course the media played right into their hands.
