The McConnell Pork Grab was really, really disgusting

So everyone agrees that the Senate has to pass something to avoid default and that the House then needs to pass exactly the same bill, or else the global economy blows up.

Harry Reid would have been happy to have nothing in the bill beyond re-opening the government and avoiding default.

Mitch McConnell is, for whatever reason, not content with that. So the process was, what can be added to that bill that will make Mitch McConnell accept the bill?

So McConnell added $2 Billion dollars to a Kentucky project knowing that if anyone stripped it out in the House the global economy would blow up.

That is demanding pork in exchange for not blowing up the world economy, and holding that gun to the head of Democrats and Republicans alike!

And McConnell's gun was loaded. It was a ticking bomb scenario, to mic metaphors. A money grab inserted at the last moment as a "pay or die" proposition.

Incredible scum-baggery.
