If this is dying, I remember thinking, its not all that bad, Cheney writes in the book, according to the New York Times. I believed I was approaching the end of my days, but that didnt frighten me. I was pain free and at peace, and I had led a remarkable life.

His immortality will be in how history remembers him. I'm sure he will be right up there with Vlad the Impaler, Ivan the Terrible, Hitler and Stalin. No he doesn't have quite the body count in human bodies that those guys do, but that's because he didn't have the opportunity.
