Drunkin off-duty cop tried to arrest

woman at bar when she resisted his advances

http://www.policestateusa.com/2013/drunk-off-duty-deputy-tried-to-arrest-female-soldier-at-bar-when-she-resisted-his-advances/

It makes you wonder what on earth would have happened to the woman if he had been successful in taking her away. I think that there would have been a chance of a bad ending for the woman. This guy was way out of control, needs to go to jail, and lose his badge permanently.

I would like to know what happened to this drunken excuse for a cop, he needs to be fired and prosecuted for assault and battery, kidnapping and false imprisonment.
And, the Sheriff should be voted out of office for initially backing this sorry excuse for a human being.
If I had been present, this sorry POS would have been on the floor, in handcuffs, in federal custody for violation of civil rights.

His chief tried to defend him to begin with but given the video evidence and the fact he broke the law in arresting her he was fired. He is what's known as a Class 3 officer (I'm quoting earlier threads I don't pretend to know what that means) and Class 3 officers are not allowed to arrest someone without another officer present. It's against the law.

So not only was he drunk and stupid, he broke the law too and was carrying a weapon in a bar which may not be legal in that jurisdiction when he's off-duty. That was still up in the air in the last article I read.

On Edit:

Yes, he was arrested by the local police force. As he should have been. That's always a touchy situation with one agency arresting another agency's officers but the local police did the right thing in this case. He should never be allowed a badge and a gun again. We pile on drunk drivers for making poor decisions and bad judgements for driving while drunk. This person should be afforded the same shame, scorn and disparagement we give drunk drivers. He clearly does not have the capability to make good decisions and, therefore, should not be a law enforcement officer with a gun.

As I said, if I had been present, he would have been on the ground, handcuffed, and in federal custody for violation of civil rights.
