(56,177 posts)for the healthcare bill was worth it...Obama obviously twisted his arm and you'd think he might have gotten something in return.

(36,418 posts)I never felt like Dennis ever misled us - Obama increasingly sends the small hairs on the back of my neck up. Something's going on - a war
2 wars.

(254 posts)Completely, utterly, totally useless as our representative. As a Clevelander, I can tell you just how uninterested or unmotivated or whatever he was during the course of his stay in Congress. We definitely weren't his top priority--not by a longshot.
Thankfully we now have a REAL representative in Marcy Kaptur. Kucinich, since he was Mayor of Cleveland, was all about and only concerned with DENNIS!
It amazes me how far his grandstanding and self promotion got him. Some people bought in to the myth, all the while Cleveland suffered.
We are a much better city going forward without him representing our interests in Congress.

(21,925 posts)Kucinich was a champion of everything we stand for at DU. In Europe he'd be considered a moderate.

(10,942 posts)People in his district finally got a choice and went for Kaptur. My argument is that we need more effective liberals, not a joke. Congratulations to Kaptur, she took care of two problems, the most important of which is keeping the seat in democratic hands.

(46,192 posts)i think Kaptur's great, but chiming in to celebrate a liberal sent packing is not my idea of what this place is about.
you want to celebrate? go chat it up with the posters here that agree with you, a couple years ago they were posting about Obama's birth certificate. enjoy the company.
