Well, well, well looks like Rush is going to pick up a new advertiser.....

Subject: Rush Limbaugh Show Advertising Offer

Mr. Soifer,

Despite Mr. Limbaugh's sincere apology to Sandra Fluke it appears the apology has not stemmed the tide of major corporations pulling out of advertising on The Rush Limbaugh Show. The recent wave of national media coverage about Mr. Limbaugh's comments seems to be creating conditions whereby corporations feel they must disassociate with the show from a public relations perspective. We do not believe Mr. Limbaugh should be penalized for expressing his opinion, especially in America. We are writing to offer to step up and fill the void left by the corporations who have pulled their advertising.

We propose the following:
1. AshleyMadison.com will buy all excess ad inventory from the advertisers that have pulled ads to date for three months

We hope you are interested in exploring this opportunity with us. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Very truly yours,

Noel Biderman
CEO, AshleyMadison.com

Oh - you say you don't know what Ashley Madison is?

Their slogan is "Life is short. Have an Affair".
This is where married men go when they want a discreet affair. They sign up for the website and they find the men a match....a slut, if you will.

Sounds like a match made in heaven.

Ashley Madison also endorsed Newt for President

...there is always someone grandstanding to make a point. I doubt this idiot can supplant all the revenue lost for advertisers dumping that blowhard.

On Hardball today Chris played a clip of Rush saying he has 18000 companies advertising on his show, why should he worry about 30 leaving. My question is who are these 18000 companies?

Like Bob's Used Cars of Pencilneck, Oklahoma and Millicent's Wingnut Cut-a-teria and Shampoo Parlor of Bugtussle, South Dakota? Maybe every little advertiser in every little town, local and national, who runs ads during OxyRush's daily hate-a-thon?

If he's on 600 stations then that's 30 advertisers per station. There probably are 30 advertisers at each station that buy time at various times during his show. I have no idea, but my guess is his take from the local ad time probably isn't very much and it's the national advertisers that pay his salary.

These are the local station advertisers, the mom & pop stores, car dealer, etc. These aren't his per se, they are the local stations. Their ad marketeers go out and get that business. Now Rush may get a cut, but I think it's more that these advertisers help the stations pay their bills and help them afford to pay for the "privilege" of airing the slime boy"s show.

Rushbo's playing with numbers. In addition to the national spots, affiliates have 30 slots they can sell and that's what he's counting. As long as the local station are making money that's all that matters...they won't drop his show and he can go "commercial free" and still be worth the millions he's paid. Thus the pressure has to be on the local level...targeted protests at local advertisers and stations who hide beneath the radar and who are waiting for this latst shitstorm to fade away and to go back to business as usual.

The site also lets married women find men for affairs....and married men find men for affairs, and married women find women for affairs.

They are surprisingly inclusive.

They must have geniuses in their marketing department.

Nobody had ever heard of them until a couple of years ago, until they announced that they were going to buy ads for the Super Bowl. They knew damned well they'd never accept the ads, but the publicity generated had to be worth hundreds of millions in free publicity.

A couple of months ago, they put up one billboard in rural Pennsylvania, about Newt Gingrich being their kind of man. A good Republican, and a philanderer. Again, millions in free publicity.

I think this is just another of their stunts.
