There are many more, I'm sure, but these are the current GD issues being discussed.
In discussions on the 2016 election, we've keep being told to stop talking about it because we have 2014 to deal with. So apparently we can only discuss one item at a time. Therefore we should only be discussing 2014, so as not to be distracted.
Right?

(94,657 posts)...but since the campaign started last September (when I met with one Presidential aspirant and saw several others making the rounds in Charlotte), you'll understand if I suggest that not everyone feels the same way.

(36,127 posts)that drive voters in 2014. I think DU realizes this. Why oversimplify DU's sparring attempts to prioritize and analyze issues this way...I don't get it. Just because we should prioritize the 2014 campaign over the 2016 doesn't mean that each can't get its proportional attention. Same goes for all the other topics you list.
Come on, now.

(288 posts)There will be posters here that while basically being good hearted are painfully slow and don't deal well with more than one idea at a time. Sort of savants, like Forrest Gump.
Either ignore it or put up with it.
It's a website, one of millions, no more no less.

Discuss whatever you want, but know that other people might want to discuss something else. 2014 is next year, so it may come up more often than 2016. I certainly won't tell anyone what they can and cannot talk about.
