Piece of shit @JohnCornyn on Iran deal - "Amazing what WH will do to distract attention from O-care"

Jesus, what fucking scum.

Yeah that's right, Obama created bat shit crazy Iran as a lever to pull for a distraction over a healthcare website not working.

Am sure all the Sunday barf-fests were going to be the usual "Obamacare!!!1111!!!!1!!1!" until this happened.

I expect that after all the whining and pissing and moaning, they'll eventually try to pivot back to the old standby - "BENGHAZI!!1!1!11!1!!!"

He's just bitter that they've lost a valuable tool in keeping the ME unstable, which is not good for the oil industry in Texas, and by extension not good for those to whom he's beholden. How anyone can not see through his weak act is a mystery.

Not only will there be an impact on crude oil, but I wouldn't be surprised to see precious metals also decline with the decrease of tensions that could occur in the Middle East.

Thanks for joining in the thread and welcome to DU!

Gold and oil both were already reduced in price. Which had my hopes up that information was leaked as to the possible success of these negotiations. Which may have been true looking at it in hindsight. I don't wish anyone ill, but overall this is very good news for the average consumer and majority of working class Americans. Yes, some people who invested either out of fear/manipulation, or who were banking on continued failed relations between the western world and Iran are going to take a beating, and I'm sorry about some of the gold investors losses. A lot of those people were over invested in gold out of ignorance and fear being sold to them by some of the most insane marketing schemes I've ever seen. But, since I'm in the working class demographic, and not shy about admitting I need the economic boost, I'm happy to feel a bit of hope we'll see less inflation, and more growth.

I'm also interested in seeing how the money changers in Iran deal with these current events. There are many people who profit off an unstable ME and a heavily sanctioned and volatile Iran. Several of them reside Iran itself. We all have our financial predators, our own brand of corruption and ugliness. Every country, state/province, etc. has it's share of disreputable populace willing to sell out the rest of the population for their own profit and personal gain. That's not something we in the US have a monopoly on by any means.

I want to also thank you for fighting the good fight in Texas. Without you, and all the wonderful Democrats in Texas fighting the GOP, we wouldn't be making the steps we are there. You're the unsung hero's at this point in history, I know that's a hard pill to swallow. In time you'll be viewed as the community leaders who led the grassroots movement to reclaim the state. Please, don't give up. I have faith in you, and the country desperately needs you to take back the state. You're making great progress, ignore the ugly chatter, it's only purpose is to distract you and kill your momentum. Be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day, neither will Texas be taken back in one election cycle. Focus and carry on. You're doing great work, just continue to organize and keep moving forward. You'll get there, and when you arrive it'll be all the sweeter to have proven so many wrong.

Benghazi pretty much died with Lara Logan's made-up bullshit, and now this is all they have to cling to. Every RW blog and website is all ACA, all the time. Anything that isn't about the supposed utter catastrophe of Obamacare is a distraction from said catastrophe. What a pathetic bunch of jackass losers.

The Cornyns of the world, of the right, talk incessantly about how improvements cannot be achieved, whether in the realm of healthcare or peace. But the President went and Got Something Done anyway. People see that. People want the John Cornyns of the world to get out of the way.

I don't know how he found his way in to the Senate, in the first place.
But, he needs to be shown the door soon.

The President of the United States just forged a deal with Iran, a country Bush ignored for the entire 8 years he was in the White House, and who hasn't wanted to talk with us for over 30 years, and Cornyn's first reaction is to act like a stupid jackass!!!

Unbelievable.
