and they are annoyed.

I will take them out in a few minutes. They are big labs and need their morning walk (jog) around the neighborhood). Normal schedule is to go out at about 5:45 am.

It is 44 degrees. Not nearly as cold as I experienced growing up in the midwest but we aren't used to it down here on the coast (we're in the suburbs south of Houston).

Even though I'm originally from Wisconsin I never visit in the winter. The first time my daughter saw snow was in Amarillo. We were staying at the Holiday Inn -on our way to Colorado Springs. It turned out we saw more snow in Amarillo than in the Springs!

I don't think we've had such an extended cool period in the previous two winters (they say at least 2 more days), temps day and night in the 40s. On the bright side we're over 4 inches of rain, with more promised. Nothing lower than 40 progged at night so no need to take drastic measures. It just sucks though when you're used to living 10 months in shorts without having to worry about your wardrobe. Can't believe it was 88 two days ago, oh how I miss it already.

It is wonderful!

Finally a day that has no sun and is getting cold!
If I didn't have my daily migraine I would be out playing!

It has been a long time since I could turn the AC off and open the windows. I'm loving this (like a wolf with a favorite bone )

I really wish I wasn't financially tied to this place. I'd leave in a heart beat and head someplace like this year-round. (Cool-cold sunny days would be acceptable since I'm more of a night person. Sun and my migraines don't mix )

If only I could turn my bedroom into something this:
