"I Believe I'm Going To Be A Democrat"

"I believe I'm going to be a Democrat"

That's the report from Kentucky as detailed in the Washington Post about what's happening at the clinics that were set up first.

Soon, Ronald Hudson walked in.

“Okay,” Lively began. “What Hudsons are you kin to?”

“R.T., Uncle Lenny . . .” said Hudson, a skinny 35-year-old who worked as an assistant director at the senior center and had just been released from the hospital after a blood-sugar spike.

He’d never had insurance before and said his hospital bills were up to $23,000 at this point.

“Good night,” Lively said, tapping in his information.

Kids: five. Salary: about $14,000 before taxes.

“You’re going to qualify for a medical card,” she told Hudson.

“Well, thank God,” Hudson said, laughing. “I believe I’m going to be a Democrat.”

and vote republican are obviously misinformed....that outcome is partially our fault for not successfully silencing the right wings propaganda. How can we combat the faux news machine?

I appreciate the slow titration forward at the Ky clinics. We have a long, long way to go.......

Buy bundles and bundles of cheap, low power radio stations in all parts of the nation, and don't be afraid to lose money over the near term to run them. This would amount to a "donation" to the cause over the long term and with syndication, would be inexpensive to operate.

But liberals refuse to do it and the few who have tried to create programming for liberal/progressive listeners (like Franken's "Air America&quot found no quarter due to the near-monopoly of RW talk stations.

I'm nauseated daily here in Dayton Ohio having to listen to AM right wing propaganda just because I need a traffic report. They the right wing consumed local talk media here....If I had financial resources...competing with them would be my mission. It's a good plan.

Actually, just undo anything Reagan did, and that would fairly solidly help the nation.

They can see this happening all over the country, and they can't stand it.

They didn't want Obama to look good. But they're too short sighted to realize that their opposition has the opposite effect than they intended.

By opposing the ACA, they branded it as a purely Democrat program. So if it works, they get zero credit. They were too stupid to see this, because they were certain they could sabotage it.

Not that they won't try to take credit, of course.

A person with 5 kids that isn't already on or qualified for Medicaid?

I think someone is making up a story and it isn't very believable.

people...families, workers, churches, etc. I don't know what the Tipping Point will be, but it's when some magic number of everyday people "get" that even just someone they know is better off. It's not some politician, or some rich media person telling them about a very complex subject...it's someone they know and it worked for them.

That's when the Republicans start getting it, too. Oh, if it affects me or mine, of course. Of course they always owe the Democrats for said programs, politics, before it got to them, but that's another subject.
