So, what's some of the problems with this show? According to James Goddard, writer of the article...
The depiction of ponies in this series is un-biblical. According to the Bible (Gen 1:26) man has been given dominion over all beasts (including ponies), and thus the portrayal of these worker-animals as talking intelligent creatures with their own will and personality is clearly in contradiction to Gods teaching. We would have preferred to see a more realistic portrayal of Gods creation, for example showing young men and women working the land with their ponies just as God intended. As everybody knows, Man (created in Gods image) is the only life on earth born with a soul, and capable of moral reasoning. To suggest that ponies might also have souls undermines the entire basis of the Christian Bible.
The show is created by a young woman named Lauren Faust if that names seems familiar to you it should be: According to legend, Faust was the name of the person who sold his soul to the devil in return for great wealth and power. Its highly probable that Satan has chosen Ms Faust to be his modern-day emissary of evil. The signs are clear.
From what we can tell, the ponies do not seem to have any belief in God. There was not one single reference to Christianity, Jesus or the Holy Bible in any of the episodes we watched. There were countless references to paganism, the occult and black-magic. We are concerned that watching this show might encourage young girls to experiment with the dark arts. We advise any parents who suspect their child has seen this show to consult their pastor.
While ponies are certainly real animals, and unicorns definitly did exist (Job 39 -12), Pegasus Ponies appear to be a creature found only in ancient greek pagan religions. We do not understand why Hasbro felt the need to include this obviously false pagan hogwash other than to cause further confusion in the minds of young girls.
And there's a whole lot more wackiness where these come from.
Oh, and don't skip the comments either. There's some real gems there!

(39,961 posts)There are people who get so deluded by religion that they believe shit like this. My sister got caught up in some Pentecostal group and when we were in Sears, she literally freaked out over the Rainbow Brite dolls claiming that that rainbows and unicorns were Satanic. She then went on to say that AT&T saying "Good Morning" was people trying to create a "happy wave" (whatever the fuck that means, and like it would be a bad thing?). She was completely serious.
My mother and I were horrified. My father threatened to stop paying for her to go to college if she didn't wake the hell up.
She did, sort of, but her kids have to watch Veggie-Tales. They had it on the DVD player when they came to visit. I wish there was something I could do for them to make their lives less horrible, but I'm the flaming lesbian of the family so I just sit back, sigh, and occasionally laugh at my fundie sister. Even my mother thinks she's still on the verge of being a raving lunatic.
OH and let me point this out - I'm in Mississippi. My parents are conservatives. Southern Baptists. I live in the town where I was playing Diablo II on my laptop and some woman stopped and told me to rebuke Satan. When people like THAT think you've gone around the bend, you've gone around the bend.
I'm so glad my famlies not the only one like tha. Wait that's awful if only it were the only no telling how manny more their are. And Oma guess quit a few.

2) James Goddard Jr needs to be locked away in a room somewhere. Walls, floor and ceiling should be heavily padded.
Has to be satire. If them their little horses can trouble him so; Bugs Bunny would have caused him to go cationic long time ago.

Is My Little Pony Satanic?
There are Christian warnings about My Little Pony.

" It advertises sorcery and witchcraft, with certain ponies using their evil zodiac symbols to perform all sorts of evil conjuration and other works of satan.
One of the main characters of the show, named Rainbow Dash, is a disgusting piece of lesbian slime who has rainbow colored hair and enjoys nothing more than sports, athletics, and lesbian pony sex, which is consistently hinted at through the use of subliminal messages throughout the show."

MY LITTLE PONY
Everyone loves horses, but these are not your everyday horses. These horses can levitate, or fly through the air. Most people do not realize when they see someone or something flying through the air that this phenomenon is pure Satanism. Further, many of these horses are Unicorns. In fact, this TV cartoon so popularized Unicorns that we see them today in jewelry, clothing, paintings, and figurines. Many Christian families even own Unicorn representations in their homes. Do you realize the Unicorn has been occultic for thousands of years, and is represented in current New Age literature as being representative of the violent way in which the New World Order will be finally brought into existence? Occultic folklore has traditionally pictured the Unicorn as the destroyer of the old system, a necessary prerequisite for the New System to be established.
Did you know God utilized a Unicorn-type animal in His prophecy in Daniel 8:4-5, in depicting the final days' Anti-Christ? Do not be deceived: the Unicorn is not the sweet, gentle, and loving animal which is portrayed. Your children are being manipulated into believing a lie, and setting them up to accept the Anti-Christ when he arises.
Is it part of Satan's plan to destroy our children?

(1,438 posts)I did a quick bit of Googling, and it turns out the translators of the King James Bible used the word "unicorn" where "wild ox" would have been more accurate. In point of fact, virtually all modern translations use "wild ox" or words to the effect.

(10,340 posts)When I was growing up in a Pentecostal church, I often heard that the KJV was the only authorized version, that all other versions were either inferior at best, or inspired by Satan. Their rationale was that the KJV translators were inspired by God, therefore making it the only translation worth using.

(37,648 posts)spouting God-speak all the time, or doing only God-related things. It reminds me of the polygamist cults in TX & Nevada; when the TX group was raided, the authorities noted that all the children were working and had no toys and did not smile or laugh. Is that Godlike? I think not. But it certainly is cult-like.

(1 post)i'm a democrat, christian and love america as much as the next person, but you cannot seriously believe this! i mean it's a cartoon, it's supposed to be unrealistic and of course the ponies can talk and do things they cannot do in real life, you're taking this way to seriously, My little Pony: Friendship is magic has nothing to do with the occult or satanism, it teaches people how to get along with one another better, to understand what makes you special and how to make your friendships stronger and last alot longer, and also what you're good at, i mean everypony has a cutie make depicting their special talent and what makes everyone unique.

(1 post)I am NOT being biased. Most of you might say I am, but hear me out. This show is basically one of my favorites. I found this page somewhere, and I decided to check it out of curiosity. Note: I AM A DEVOUT CATHOLIC, NOT SOME WEIRD ATHIEST LURKING IN THE DARK CORNERS. Anyway... I read the whole thing. My primary responses?
1)This is a popular children's show that teenagers and adults have developed to like because of its witty characters and unique storyline and have two 'tomboys' that are two of the main characters. The plot separates it from Dora or Ni Hao Kai Lan or anything. But... It is still a kid's show. It is not meant to be taken seriously. How many kids' shows don't have any biblical references in them? I'm using my brain to feel here, people. Not my inner fangirl heart.
2) Also: Who actually is sure that this show isn't demonic/satanic? I already have the biblical references part solved. But think about it. Our world is getting polluted slowly, and I'm not talking about toxic waste. I'm talking about sin from down there. So there is a possibility that certain show creators can have the slightest influence of sin in their kids shows. That is why I'm not entirely keen on MLP's fourth generation transformation into something else for 12 years old and above. The old MLP was entirely innocent which barely had any bad signs. In the new MLP there is ponies getting corrupted, chaotic beings with horns (uhhh Discord and Tirek I'm sorry), seductive sirens that generate hate and feed on it, similar to what demons do. Heck, even Sunset Shimmer, a character from MLP's movie Equestria Girls said this in the second movie, describing her past actions: "A demon. I turned into a raging she-demon!" Not so G rated, right? Which sort of scares me a bit for little kids that are about six or five years of age. And there are tons more of these kinds of antagonists. I'm concerned for these kids and for myself as well.
I love this show, but I love God more.
Up to you which side you're on.
I'll not look at the show the same way, of course. But this is just like any other seemingly harmless show. Let's not take it seriously for now. Let's stick to the safe side and look at it as the show with colorful singing ponies who spread friendship.
The ponies are kindhearted and spread morals. The antagonists are demonic shit.
