Historical Irony...

The last time I read Anna Karenina I was in sixth grade. I decided last night to tackle it again, and ran across this passage. I think Tolstoy would be sad that America of today is not so different from the Russia of 1873 in some ways." ~ Victoria Gutshall

I bet most of the people know only Keira Knightley's Anna Karenina... the film skips a lot of political and social observations that Leo Tolstoy made in his novel Anna Karenina. Definitely a highly recommended read

I saw the recent movie last spring and decided that I needed to read the book. Thanks for reminding me to go get a copy to read at the library next time I go to town!
