97 Companies who Have Dropped Advertising on Limbaugh and Other "Controversial" Shows

I found the following information in a posted response on the Media Matters story about Limbaugh losing sponsors. I had been searching for a full list of the companies that have advised Premiere (via their ad agency) that they do not wish their ads to run on Limbaugh's show and apparently other controversial shows in the Premiere stable. The E-mail from the ad agency has been linked to in several articles but the list of companies, while referenced, was not included. I also saw in a post that the government spends $25 million a year to sponsor Limbaugh's show. I haven't been able to verify the accuracy of that statement however. With the growing list of corporate sponsors dropping Limbaugh it will be harder to justify the government continuing to sponsor his program. Please note that this extensive list doesn't even include other companies that have dropped Limbaugh such as Pro Flowers, Legal Zoom, Sleep Number, etc. who aren't handled by this particular agency. With a client list this long the agency must be a power house.

Complete list of the advertisers shunning Rush Limbaugh and other controversial hosts from the Premiere Radio memo.

The memo originally appeared on a clearinghouse site for radio traffic directors. An interesting quote from it, Also, please ensure that these commercials air with a minimum of 15 minutes separation from any controversial programming content.

The webpage was quickly removed and replaced with dead air. But, as always, the Internet never forgets:

How much does Limbaugh's show get from airing on AFN? How long can his show continue without sponsors? Isn't it more expedient to require the FCC to do it's job, and regulate the limited broadcast spectrum by removing Limbaugh. He's a repeat offender of crossing the line of decency.

it keeps crashing and not accepting my complaint. Will print it out and mail it to them in if does not get through today.

I thought that it was Feb 29, 2012 and you have to find your local stations here:

I think that it is the thing to do now. And continue pressuring the Armed Services radio to drop him.
