General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsHave you ever voluntarily not voted in a Presidential or Congressional Election
in an election when you were able to vote at your polling place or absentee? I'm only talking about Presidential election years or mid-term election years, not purely local or state elections where no Congress Members or a President were not on the ballot.
I ask to see whether, as I expect, the vast majority of DUers are regular voters who do not voluntarily skip voting.

(146,317 posts)absentee ballots. I did that for every election. I have no idea if my vote got counted, though. You really had to apply for them early, especially if you were out of the USA. 1966 and 1968 were the years. I did not vote in the 1967 local elections, though. That was the only time I did not.

(17,064 posts)when there's not even a third party candidate I like, I'll simply note vote in a particular race. Which brings to mind that I think all races should have "none of the above" on the ballot. Should NOTA get a plurality of the vote, then both parties are required to nominate new candidates.
