The GOP warned us that hiking taxes on the wealthy would wreck the stock market and kill the economy

So it's been a year since we returned to the the Clinton-era rates for the wealthy. How are their dire predictions going?

Well....

Stock market has its best performance in 15 years

S.&P. 500 has risen seven straight weeks and is up 26.4 percent in 2013, its best performance in 15 years.

The Federal budget deficit shrinks at it's fastest pace since WW2

Believe it or not, the federal deficit has fallen faster over the past three years than it has in any such stretch since demobilization from World War II.

The unemployment rate falls to its lowest level in 5 years

After years of frustrating fits and starts after the financial crisis and the Great Recession, the American job market finally appears to be on a path of steady but sustainable improvement. The unemployment rate in November fell to its lowest level since the end of 2008.

So tell me again how raising taxes on the wealthy would kill the stock market, kill jobs and increase the deficit?

Never listen to Republicans.

They give reasons for ehy we shouldn't do things against their agenda, but those reasons have no connection to reality. Abortions will destroy families and societies. Raising taxes on the wealthy will hurt the economy. Not cutting taxes for the wealthy will give you the good times virus. Overisght of banks will cause it to rain corn.

You'd think that such a group of "in-the-tank sycophants for Obama" would be screaming this from the rooftops and leading every broadcast with this followed by a panel of guests hypothesizing about whether or not we need MORE SOCIALIST POLICIES...

I hate when I keep missing THAT liberal media...the only one I seem to see is the one that allows shit like 60 Minutes to stay on the air...

...the answer given to me by an old guy the other day, when he was going on with his Obama-hating politics and predicting every sort of doom and collapse. I mentioned that we have had five years of steady growth, every since Obama was elected, and the stock markets just hit a record high. Facts don't matter, apparently.
