Any headline pertaining to politics, culture or science draws the repubs to the comment section like flies to fecal matter. It's become quite easy to anticipate the responses almost to the letter: draw the obvious thumb-in-the-eye counterarguments out of the hat, posit myths and childhood fantasies as proven science, inject a solid dose of venom, and make sure to misspell at least one word so you don't look like the product of a post grade school education.
