Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron were spotted leaning in to look at the cellphone of Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning Schmidt. First lady Michelle Obama, seated to the president's left, is looking elsewhere.

(41,990 posts)First, the outrage is absurd. Second, it's conjecture. It could just as easily be "Oh, look at this wonderful photo I made with Mandela when I saw him last!"
I swear, I am in outrage burnout.

(18,402 posts)It was a memorial service ... in a giant soccer stadium. And it seemed pretty raucous (or festive) to me. One report says "the atmosphere was celebratory." There were thousands of people from all walks of life.
Second, what about the PMs of Denmark and Great Britain? Do they not get criticized?
Third, remember when Dick Cheney wore a parka and ski cap at Auschwitz? (Actually, even though it was a somber occasion and all the other world leaders were in suits and formal overcoats, who could blame the sickly (and mean) Cheney?).
Oh, why even bother with this stupid criticism.
