Anti-Gay Preacher’s Band Shocks Students At Iowa High School

When anti-gay preacher Bradlee Dean opens his mouth, controversy usually follows. And a performance at an Iowa high school late last week proved no different.

Dean’s band — Junkyard Prophet, a Christian heavy metal/rap group — performed at Dunkerton High School on Thursday and then split the audience up into several groups: boys, girls and teachers. They reportedly told the girls that they would have mud on their wedding dresses if they weren’t virgins, advised them to take a submissive role in their marriages and showed images of aborted fetuses.

Those at the school who walked out on the program were mocked and shouted down, the WCF Courier reports.

What the HELL??!!! Isn't this a public high school. Who would allow a band like this to play in the school. Hell why not have some Neo-Nazi bands play there too and then Fred Phelps can give the introductions???!!!

Robey, it is disgusting. In fact it's deplorable. That kind of crap doesn't have any place in public schools where our children can be subjected to it. There's definitely mud on something alright.....

When I was in h.s. in the 80s, we had all sorts of guest speakers that were in theory anti-drug, positive character, motivation, whatever, but in reality were just using the opportunity to proselytize. My personal favorite was the Vietnam vet who kept yelling about how how God's love could save us from ourselves.

I am sick beyond weariness of the right wing hypocrits hijacking my Faith and turning it into propeganda. Please, all of you who read this article, hear what I have to say: TRUE Christians are not bigots or hate mongers. Christ's message was one of forgiveness, not comdemnation. These men are no more Christians than shiny brass is gold.

we had the Blind Boys of Alabama singing for us and the song "ain't gonna study war no more" has stayed in my mind since then.

They also sang "Last night I had the strangest dream".

I don't think the administration knew what hit em.
