Virginia Rep. Frank Wolf to Retire

Virginia Rep. Frank Wolf to Retire
WASHINGTON December 17, 2013 (AP)
Associated Press
Virginia Rep. Frank Wolf says he will not seek another term after more than three decades in Congress.

The 73-year-old Republican said in a statement said he would focus on working on human rights and religious freedom. He has been a low-key, respected member of the House Appropriations Committee.

Wolf is the dean of the Virginia congressional delegation. He was first elected in 1980.

Romney may have carried the 10th District by only 1% but in non Presidential years the race has been absolutely non competitive. I am in the very fringe of his district and in one district or another I have had him as my rep for almost 24 of his 32 years in the house. I graduated from high school in 1981 and he was the guest speaker at my graduation and at the time was a freshmen congressman. He has never had town hall meeting at least not in this part of the district. His District is one of the oddest shaped districts in Virginia. it goes from Western and very blue Fairfax County all the way to very red Winchester. I truly hope the democratic party can get someone who can win this seat because the teabaggers will trip over themselves to get this nomination. Lets go dems.
