I just don't see the Republican nominee beating Obama...

The country is not demanding the repeal of Obamacare.

The country is not demanding tax cuts for the wealthy.

The country is not demanding more war.

The country is not demanding an attack on women's reproductive rights.

The country is not demanding a "reform" (aka dismantling) of medicare or social security.

President Obama is the only sane candidate. I just don't see the Republican nominee beating him.

Voter suppression laws are just their opening salvo. Lies and distortions will come out all summer long and well into the Fall.

Some Middle East conflict disrupting supplies could cause this. A surge in oil prices depresses the economy and pushes up gas prices. Unemployment ticks up as confidence falls. Very unfair, as (1) it would not be Obama's fault, (2) it would probably be worse if a Republican happened to be President, and (3) a Republican would certainly mishandle a situation like this and make things worse, but is certainly a possibility.
